I’m so excited to share about our recent stop at Disney’s newest private island destination – Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! This tropical paradise is the perfect mix of Disney magic and natural Bahamian beauty, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite private island experiences.
Getting There
When you dock, you’ll take a walk down a long pier to reach the tram station. Don’t worry – Disney provides water along the way, and honestly, it wasn’t bad at all (it’s a good way to walk off all that cruise food). A short tram ride later, you’re surrounded by sun, sand, and crystal-clear waters.
Family Beach or Serenity Bay?
Once the tram drops you off, you can choose your perfect spot. There’s a Family Beach full of energy and activities, or Serenity Bay, a peaceful 18+ retreat for adults. We headed right from the tram toward the southern end of Family Beach, and it was perfect — plenty of open space, soft sand, and beautiful water.
We set up near the Reef & Wreck Bar (number 21 on the map), which turned out to be an amazing location. We were close to food, bathrooms, family activities, and youth programming — all within easy reach. Here is a map of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point:

Beach & Water Activities
The water here is some of the most stunning we’ve ever seen while cruising the Caribbean — shades of turquoise that look like they’re straight out of a postcard! You can snorkel right from the shore and see natural reefs, colorful fish, stingrays, and more without even booking an excursion.
Dining on the Island
Food at Lookout Cay is similar to Disney’s Castaway Cay, offering favorites like burgers and sandwiches along with BBQ ribs, tacos, and fresh fruit. It’s an easy, relaxed dining experience — perfect for grabbing a plate and heading back to your lounge chair.

Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is a stunning addition to Disney Cruise Line’s private destinations. Between the gorgeous water, relaxing beaches, great food, and that secret hidden beach, it’s a must-visit stop. In fact, I’d say it’s one of my top private island experiences on any cruise line.
