Hi again! It’s Joy, your Disney Cruise travel expert. One of the most common questions I get is: “Which Disney Cruise ship should we sail on?” And honestly, I love answering this—because each Disney ship has its own unique personality and charm.
Here’s a simple breakdown of each ship to help you find the one that fits your travel style best:
Disney Magic
The Disney Magic is one of the original ships in the fleet, and she’s full of timeless charm. Smaller and more intimate, the Magic is perfect if you love a classic Disney experience without too much hustle and bustle. This ship often sails to destinations like the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Europe. She features Rapunzel’s Royal Table and has a fun waterslide called the AquaDunk.
Disney Wonder
Like her sister ship, the Magic, the Disney Wonder offers a cozier cruising experience with all the essential Disney magic. She’s best known for sailing to Alaska and has some of my favorite entertainment, including Frozen: A Musical Spectacular. Dining highlights include Tiana’s Place, which brings New Orleans vibes and live jazz right to your dinner table.
Disney Dream
The Dream is a larger ship, offering a bit more space and onboard activities. It’s perfect for families who want a bit of everything—more pools, more entertainment, and more dining options. You’ll find the AquaDuck water coaster, Animator’s Palate, and stunning live shows. The Dream often sails 3- to 5-night itineraries in the Bahamas.
Disney Fantasy
The Fantasy is the Dream’s sister ship, but geared more for longer sailings like the 7-night Caribbean routes. She features many of the same amenities as the Dream, but adds unique touches like the Star Wars: Command Post and a different lineup of rotational dining experiences. She’s ideal for families looking for a whole week of fun and adventure.
Disney Wish
The Disney Wish is one of the newest and most imaginative ships in the fleet. Everything is thoughtfully designed—from the AquaMouse attraction to immersive themed dining like Arendelle and Worlds of Marvel. It’s a mix of elegance and fun, perfect for those who want cutting-edge experiences while still enjoying the heart of Disney magic.
Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure is the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It’s built on the same platform as the Disney Wish but with a bold new theme of adventure and exploration. Think Aladdin-inspired décor, a brand-new dining experience called Plaza de Coco, and immersive entertainment that will transport you to worlds of mystery and magic. If you’re looking for something fresh, exciting, and unforgettable, the Treasure might be the perfect ship for you.
Coming Soon
Disney Destiny & Disney Adventure Disney Cruise Line continues to expand with two exciting new ships on the horizon! Coming in late 2025, the Disney Destiny promises more immersive storytelling and innovative experiences. And in early 2026, keep an eye out for the Disney Adventure, which will bring Disney magic to new parts of the world.
