Disney Cruise Kids Clubs:
I should note that kids’ clubs are included with Disney cruises. And they are divided into five different options. The Oceaneer club is for children 3-12 and offers a variety of activities, from games to crafts and movies. The Oceaneer lab is for kids from 8-12 and has more of a science-based focus allowing for activities like experiments and robotics. Edge is a club for teenagers from 13-17 and offers video games, karaoke, and even movie nights! Vibe is for older teens 14-17 and offers activities such as sports tournaments, dance parties, and movie nights.
Royal Caribbean Kids Clubs:
Royal Caribbean is another excellent cruise line for fun for the whole family. In fact it carried more passengers then any other cruise line in 2021.Royal Caribbean has an excellent reputation for offering a variety of activities for children of all ages. Depending on the age group and ship, children can participate in activities like scavenger hunts, dodgeball, storytime, or dress-up sessions. In addition, staff members will facilitate art and craft projects and other fun activities.
This free-of-charge club (until 10pm) facilitates different age groups, like Disney, starting with ages 3-5, the Aquanauts group, then (6-8) the Explorers, and (9-11) the Voyagers. Each category has specific spaces where parents can drop off their kids. The activities on board are engaging and educational; young cruisers can also participate in the Adventure Science program, which offers hands-on science experiments on topics like volcanos, fossils, or gravity.

What Activities Are Included?
Each of the kid’s clubs offers a variety of activities for children of all ages. Activities vary based on age but include games, crafts, movies, sports tournaments, dance parties, karaoke, and more. The activities are designed to keep children entertained and engaged while on board the cruise.
Are the Kid’s Clubs Supervised?
Yes, all of the kid’s clubs on Disney and Royal Caribbean cruises are supervised by trained staff members. Staff members must have previous experience working with kids to be hired for this position. The staff members ensure that all children are safe and having a good time. They are also available to answer any questions that the children may have.
What Are the Policies?
There are a few guidelines that the kids and parents must follow while participating in the Disney and Royal Caribbean kids club. Parents must sign their kids in and out of the kids club, and parents MUST remain on the ship while their children are in Kids Club. Children also have to follow the rules of the kids club ( including no running, fighting, or inappropriate language.)
Royal Caribbean takes staffing this area of the ship very seriously; they require all staff members in the kid’s rooms to have previous childcare experience and/or a four-year degree; they are expertly trained to work with children with special needs and adept at making special accommodations. They also offer a pre-teen and teenage club.
Are Kids Clubs Included in the Price of the Cruise?
Yes, the kid’s clubs are included in the cruise price. The only exception is for small children (from 6 months to age 3). They will attend the onboard nursery which will cost an additional fee. They also provide a first-aid-trained cast member to be present at all times.
For kids three and up who are potty trained, there is no additional cost for the kid’s clubs service, so parents can rest assured that their children will be entertained and supervised while on board the cruise.
